19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hardcourt

A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.

Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the US Open.

The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in especial - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-time trainer Cervara.

Presently working with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.

This represents his initial trophy following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court since March of the previous year.

Success also signifies Medvedev has secured 21 titles at twenty-one various competitions.

"For the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."

Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.

His defensive approach and regular reactions on the tennis court had prompted some to wonder if his skill to play at the top level was concluded.

Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete assertively, supported by an improved service.

He recovered from a break down in the first set against the challenging Moutet, securing four of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.

The competitors traded service breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his first ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to push for a third set.

The opponent defended four initial chances in a tight deciding set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.

Fittingly, the winner earned the title with a point at the net, with the Frenchman unable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
