Intensive Moscow's Attacks Cut Electricity In Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has increased assaults on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and applying penalties," was stated in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles attacked energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.

The assaults follow periods of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with strikes already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were bracing for more assaults.
