The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The renowned game designer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in LA on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
