Former President Donald Trump revealed on the weekend that he has asked the loved ones of a National Guard member killed last week to come to the executive mansion.

He mentioned that he spoke to her parents and they were “devastated”.

Specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a shooting on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her comrade, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

Memorials across the state have been held in their remembrance.

Presidential Call

The president explained he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both members of the state National Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a difficult moment, come to the White House. We’re going to honor her,” Trump told reporters. “And similarly with him, recover or not.”

Mourners came together over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.

Both they had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of the president’s federal initiative to aid public safety in the capital.

Honoring the Soldier

“Sarah was the type of pupil that teachers desired. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a positive energy that encouraged those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the head of her previous school, stated to the Associated Press. “She was kind, compassionate and always eager to support those in need.”

Service plans for Sarah are still being arranged.

Authorities have indicted a 29-year-old suspect with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The incident prompted the government to suspend asylum applications and cease granting visas to holders of travel documents.

Condition of the Airman

Andrew Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, enlisted in early 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the news agency.

He remains under medical supervision and is “fighting for his life”, the state’s governor the governor said on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

The state’s top lawyer Pam Bondi informed a news show that she also intended to speak to his relatives.

Sarah, from her hometown, completed her education from her high school in 2023 and began her service not long after, working as a military police officer with excellence, as stated by the state guard.

“She had a lot of kindness and she certainly had fortitude,” Morrisey informed the crowd at the vigil. “Though her life lasted far too short, she has created a legacy that’s going to last forever.”
